More Machines Up And Running

Monday, October 2nd, 2006

Yay! My bro came over last Friday and helped me set up a bunch more machines in my basement. Now up on their feet in various states of running:

  • Banzai Run
  • Theatre of Magic
  • Taxi
  • Tales of the Arabian Nights
  • Medieval Madness
  • Star Trek: TNG
  • Diner
  • Indiana Jones
  • Shadow

I wheeled Shadow over to the newly-designated shop area for some upcoming shopping. Also note that Banzai Run is totally non-functional.

Here’s a highly distorted 180 degree panorama put together with Canon’s photo-stitch software:

New House

Monday, December 27th, 2004

I moved to a new house. The new house happens to have a basement with room for lots of pinball machines. Here you can see the mover-guys taking Diner off the truck, making it appear as if it’s no big deal.

They moved all the machines like that. Two of them would just pick one up, no problem.

Now I just have to set them up.

Finished!

Behold the beauty!

One Last Thing

Sunday, October 19th, 2003

A little play-testing found that the ball gets wedged under the left slingshot.

Stuckie stuckie.

Adjusted the rubber so there wasn’t any slack at the bottom and now it’s fine.

Ruh-Roh

Crap.

Double crap.

I had to hunt around for a bit, but I found it. Can you spot the ground short?

It's in there.

Well, in case you can’t:

Pinch-o-rama.

Nothing says “Check out that pinched wire!” like a blurry photo:

Check out that pinched wire!

Coming Along Nicely

Thursday, October 2nd, 2003

All new rubber, shiny new blue posts and lane guides, and NOS ramps and “Spin Out” assembly (from ebay). The ramps were a pain to get into place.

Coming along nicely.

Playfield Surface Reassembly Begun

Tuesday, September 30th, 2003

I’ve started putting everything back together on top of the playfield. This involves going through all my little ziplock baggies in reverse order and using all the photos I took to help me remember where everything should go.

Lots of baggies.
